JOB DESCRIPTION – LBA SECRETARY/SANCTIONS

1.
Immediately following
elections, send two copies of a typed list of names, addresses, player number
of all new officers and board members to: Mr. Jim Reiman. Ask him to forward a
copy to the District 11 secretary.
2.
Send notices of Board
Meetings to all board members.
3.
Attend board meetings,
take minutes and mail copies to all board members.
4.
Apply for sanctions for
all LBA-sponsored events, including tournaments & special games.
5.
Report to ACBL results
of LBA games, including names and player number of participants. Determine
sanction fee and request a check from Treasurer to be forwarded with report.
6.
Stamp and mail Kibitzer
annually and any other unit-wide communications. (Nov)
7.
Keep President,
Historian and Awards Chairman informed of new Life Masters in Unit.
8.
Keep President and game
directors informed of any suspension notices received on ACBL members.
9.
Maintain master
membership file, including monthly update.
10.
Function as Unit 117
Membership Secretary.
11.
Maintain LBA files in
an orderly and current fashion.
12.
Maintain Bridge Center
door key list from information supplied by LBA Treasurer.
13.
Type all correspondence
for LBA/Unit 117. Keep copy of all correspondence for four years.
14.
Keep copies of all
Minutes. Minutes are kept forever.
15.
Maintain a list of Unit
117 club managers, with name, address and phone.
16.
Maintain a list of LBA
Unit 117 officers, board members and committee chairmen with name, address and
phone.
17.
Request from ACBL study
packets and director’s tests as requested.
18.
Assist club managers as
requested.
19.
Type By-Laws and
Standing Rules as required.
20.
Other duties as
assigned by President or Board.
21.
Handle tournament
arrangements for Barren River tournaments.
