Special Games for August:

The LBA Club Championship Game will be (as usual) on the 4th Tuesday of
the month, September 28. This game is THE Club Championship Game,
especially sanctioned each month by the ACBL. The game is Stratified
so all members can play and compete.

This month the Saturday Night Special Game will be IMP Pairs. Plan
to attend at 7:00 on September 18. This will be a great opportunity
to practice palying in this format.
Monthly Feature: LBA Club High Scores
This feature will print the names of the players posting the highest
percents for the month in regular games played at the club. Here
are the names of the players with the 3 highest scores posted in games
that include Life Masters and the 3 highest scores posted for games where
Life Masters are not eligible; we’ll remind you each month of the highest
game posted for 2004.
August was a stellar month with seven games above 70%.

Special Games - July Results:

The LBA Club Championship Game was won by: Strat A; Tony Lipka &
Mauri Malka with 58.049% and Strat B; Marsha Kyle & A. Beth Reid with
51.79%. There were no Strat C player in the July game.

attracted 33 pairs in August. The first ten places will be
published in the third quarter's Minitor, due out in September. Congratulations
to all of the Mentees who played in the game - you were all winners.
Thaks go to all the Mentors who volunteered to help anotehr member sharpen
their bridge skills.
Barren River Reminder: The tournament begins on Friday, October 1 at
1:00. Put it in your calendars now so you don't miss it! See
